Our house is beautiful thanks to Rhonda Richardson and her staff. Our house was built while we were still living in Virginia, and so much of our decorating ideas were passed via email and mail. It was total trust that we placed in Rhonda and every single thing that she delivered was just perfect – and more! She was helpful in arranging our furniture and making everything work, and her accessories were awesome! It was like a wonderful surprise every time we would come down, as she would deliver and place the furniture in our house while we were not here and it was all in place when we walked in. We are in our house now and get so many compliments. In fact, we are not through with Rhonda! Every time we decide we need another thing we get ahold of her and she is right there! What do you say about someone who makes your dreams come true?
My husband and I had decided to build our dream retirement home in North Carolina. We are conservative New Englanders with very traditional taste. Our home in Massachusetts is a cape style with warm, comfortable and cozy rooms.
We had made a decision to build something very bright and open. We were charting a course in unknown territory. The entire living area including the kitchen was to be an open concept with high ceilings. I thought I knew exactly what I wanted. As the building progressed, I realized I had no idea how I was going to pull this all together. I had seen a model home and the colors and furnishings appealed to me. I inquired about the designer. I guess you could say it was our lucky day. We were given Rhonda Richardson’s name.
Not being able to oversee the construction, she ended up being our eyes and ears. She met with the builder, having an understanding of what we wanted and made sure it was accomplished. Her insight and experience are only a few of her assets. When I panicked about paint colors, she was there to help me get back on track. She took the time to understand our taste and was able to guide us in the right direction. She even managed to involve my husband in the process.
The endless hours she spent finding furniture for my rooms and finding the appropriate material that would flow was amazing. She made me think outside the box and pieces that I would normally have never considered brought out the exact look I was trying to achieve. She also spent many hours with us making sure what we purchased was exactly what we wanted. She worked with me and discussed different possibilities, never dictating what I should do.
We now have a lovely home. I love showing people how beautiful it is. When my friends come to visit, they are amazed at how different it is from my home in New England. Rhonda has become a friend and I’m not quite sure how she managed to put up with us. I do know that if there were ever another home, Rhonda would be the first person I would contact. It gives me pleasure to recommend her to potential homeowners.
The only way I can summarize my experience is to say: Thank you, Rhonda; it would never have happened without you.

I am writing in regards to Rhonda Richardson. We have used Rhonda to decorate and furnish our home in Southcreek, as well as, our 3-bedroom unit in Brighton. Rhonda has excellent taste and very creative ideas. She designs and decorates to the budget discussed. In fact, in Brighton, we had several change orders, which we did not even price before authorizing her to do the work.
She is extremely honest. We have spent roughly $70,000 with her, have sent large deposits, and have never had a problem with her fulfilling her contract or verbal changes. Even though she was paid in full, when we found a problem, whether it was a blind or a corner on wallpaper, she always took care of ‘punch out’ items. My highest recommendation is that I would use her services again.

We are thoroughly enjoying our new home and are grateful for the expertise and assistance you gave us in the interior design and decorating of our home. We wanted an interior decor where: color and design flowed harmoniously from room to room, space would be efficiently used, each room would have a comfortable sitting area and where artwork would be featured. We were very pleased with the fabrics, choices of colors, and interesting window treatments you suggested.
We are especially pleased and impressed with our living room, decorated with your expert guiding hand top to bottom. We requested working the room around color and inspiration from impressionistic oil we brought to North Carolina with us. The room was to maintain a living room atmosphere, while also serving as a media room. The plasma television should be inconspicuous. This was achieved by your suggestion to angle a portion of a wall. We wanted two very comfortable television-viewing chairs to also serve as part of the living room arrangement. You patiently helped each of us find just the right chair. This room, the centerpiece of our home, is particularly pleasing and used everyday.
The sunroom was cleverly designed to take full advantage of the fabulous water and golf course views. I had developed confidence in your advice and suggestions and upon your recommendation; I selected a French hand-painted writer’s desk from a design catalog for the room. I was thrilled when it arrived. The exquisite desk complements the cozy conversational area arranged in front of the desk. The room is a quiet haven, warm and inviting.
You blended our older, sentimental furniture pieces with the new furniture pieces in our bedroom. This posed interesting challenges. Using our existing bedroom furniture, you delivered a fresh look, blending the older pieces with new fabrics and colors.
Our dining room set took on a casual elegance when the chairs were reupholstered. The upholstery work is exceptionally well done. I enjoy showing off my ‘new’ dining room.
We were very pleased with the workmanship, design, and fabrics selected for all our window treatments. In a 2 ½ hour meeting, we studied each room. As we walked from room to room, you drew up designs I immediately liked. The end product worked out well. The window treatments add so much to each room.
As your clients, you helped us through the decisions and kept us within our budget. Through your professional guidance, we achieved our objectives. It was a successful collaborative project. Our home represents us, but I couldn’t have pulled it off as well without your expertise and those who work for you.
